Restoring broken teeth:
- White-colored fillings
We use a composite filling material that has a variety of tooth-colored shades. With composites, we are able to fill a missing part of a broken tooth, change the shape and size of an existing tooth, or close gaps between teeth.
- Crowns
Crowns are used when a tooth has much of its structure missing, from either decay or fracture. We also place crowns on teeth that are given root canals, in order to protect the tooth from fracture.
- Bridges
We use bridges to replace teeth that are missing. The teeth on either side of the gap are crowned and attached to a crown that replaces the missing tooth.
Replacing missing teeth:
- Bridges
We use bridges to replace teeth that are missing. The teeth on either side of the gap are crowned and attached to a crown that replaces the missing tooth.
- Removable Partial Dentures
A removable partial denture may be used when multiple teeth are missing. These partial dentures hook on to natural teeth, restore function during the day, and are removed at night for cleaning. Removable Partial Dentures are a good option when implants are not affordable. For information on caring for your Removable Partial Denture, click here (pdf).
- Complete Dentures
Complete Dentures restore chewing ability and esthetics when all teeth are missing. These are worn during the day and removed at night for cleaning.
- Implant Crowns
We place crowns on implants that have been placed by the oral surgeon or periodontist.
- CEREC
The CEREC is a machine that can mill your crown in the office on the same day the tooth is prepared. The crown is all-porcelain and comes in a variety of shades that can match your unique smile. After we take a computer image of your tooth, you can see for yourself how your crown is made!
Pain Management:
- Root Canal
If you are experiencing a toothache because of a dying nerve, we may be able to save the tooth by doing a root canal. This is a procedure where we remove the nerve and the nutrients supplying the tooth. We then clean the canals and place a filling material that seals the tooth. After a root canal, we replace the tooth where its structure is missing. A crown is indicated to protect the tooth from breaking.
- Extractions
Sometimes a tooth cannot be saved. It is important to speak to your dentist to know what options are available to you. In certain cases, it may be best to remove a troublesome tooth and place an implant in its space.
- Nightguards
If you are waking in the morning with sore muscles, chances are that you might be grinding your teeth at night. We offer appliances that help with night-grinding and muscle tension.
